Practical aspects of using dye in CT scans

Some CT scans may require the use of a dye, depending on the type of examination and the disease to be diagnosed. This does not mean that all CT scans require dye, but some do. The dye in CT scans is one of three types: either a dye that is injected into a vein, or a dye that is drunk before the examination for a certain period. The third type of tincture is tincture by enema. And the type is needed to diagnose diseases of the colon and rectum. All three types may be used in one examination, or the latter, which is less common, may be satisfied with some of them. The person who determines whether or not to use the dye is the radiologist, based on the type of examination and the disease to be diagnosed.
